Scouting Report

Slovenia's gift to the NHL was a force on the ice even when he was not putting up points–though he usually did. He could occasionally go cold on offense but his defensive game was almost flawless and made him supremely valuable. He was also a consummate professional and a true team leader; he was a foundational player who set the right example for young players. He will go down as one of the best all-around centers of his generation.
